Foreword
Europe is in a distorted and dangerous state of mind, preparing for war with Russia. This is a fervent hatred of Russia, completely irrational and contrary to historical truth. EU leaders desire war so much that they are imposing austerity measures and strengthening their war machine in preparation for conflict. The past days have brought a dangerous acceleration that should focus every European's mind. Both Kiev and Moscow are under sustained attacks. Ukrainian long range drones have struck deep into Moscow, including civilian sites. Russian missiles and drone strikes against Kiev have greatly intensified.
Current situation
Ukrainian drones have crossed into the airspace of the Baltic states, raising the immediate prospect of an incident that could pull Europe directly into war. A horrific Ukrainian strike on a girl school in Lugansk has further eroded what little remains of restraint.
On May 25th, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, acting on instructions from President Putin, formally notified the United States Secretary of State that the Russian armed forces are now launching systematic and sustained strikes on facilities and decision-making centres in Kiev thus advising that the United States and other countries ensure the evacuation of their diplomatic personnel and other citizens from the capital of Ukraine.
Background
After the break up of the Soviet Union, Colin Powell (US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff) stated he couldn't build a military based on the threat from Cuba and jihadists. So, they needed a new enemy. It became Russia.
Before the unification of Germany there were very clear promises made to Gorbachev not to extend NATO beyond the borders of a unified Germany. Promises made by James Baker (US Secretary of State), Hans-Dietrich Genscher (German Foreign Minister) and Manfred Hermann Wörner (NATO Secretary General).
But then the myth of the US unipolar world began. The American Empire could do whatever it wanted. Russia was a failed state so US did expand NATO which was opposed by Gorbachev, by Yeltsin and of course by Putin.
Russia was invaded three times through Ukraine: Napoleon, the first world war and the second world war. William J.Burns, who was the CIA director but before was the ambassador to Moscow said that turning Ukraine into a NATO ally was absolutely unacceptable within Russian society. Then Putin was baited and provoked. And there were numerous messages out of Moscow to stop and US didn't.
Ukraine
After a series of extremely serious, burdensome, and worrying provocations by Ukraine, including the cowardly attack on a girls' school, the massive drone strikes on Moscow, and the deliberate use of Baltic airspace to launch and constantly dispatch attack drones toward northwestern Russia, Ukraine has no intention of stopping, craving a much broader war.
It is actively attempting to draw the United States and all of Europe into its military escalation. It is trying to use the United States the same way Israel is doing. Every time the United States attempts diplomatic intervention in the Middle East, Israel obstructs it with provocations and indiscriminate attacks.
Europe
It's truly remarkable that Europe is naively taking Ukraine's bait, instead of clearly telling the Ukrainians "What the hell are you trying to do? Stop before they kill us all." Instead, it's telling the Ukrainians, "We support you, we stand with you 100%!"
It's highly likely that in nearly all of Ukraine's attacks, the CIA and MI6 intelligence agencies are playing an extremely active and consistent role. This is especially true for the missile systems Ukraine uses, such as Storm Shadow and others that require the presence of US, British, and French personnel to operate.
This is a reality that has been known for some time. It appears that, despite Trump's repeated claims of wanting to end the war, he does not exercise truly effective or concrete control over US intelligence agencies.
This situation is also the same for Great Britain, the most warmongering country of all, which still lives in the illusory world of the British Empire and aspires to constant escalation.
This incremental war now appears to have reached a point where it seems almost impossible for Russia not to retaliate.
As has been the case for many years, there is no diplomacy taking place between Europe and Russia. Both sides therefore are talking past each other. The Europeans are strident. The European voices in the lead are from the Baltic States and from Poland, which are the most Russophobic parts of Europe.
Strangely, Europe gave the voice for the European community, which is 450 million people, over to the Baltic States in the person of their external relations, Vice President Kaja Kallas, also the Commissioner for Defence, who is from Lithuania. It's very strange. Much of Europe is not of this strident, Russophobic view.
Russia
Russia is signalling that it will destroy the government apparatus in Kiev if the situation continues as it is. And perhaps we've already reached the point where that event is imminent. The Oreshnik is a powerful hypersonic ballistic missile, travelling 10 times faster than the speed of sound (and therefore difficult to shoot down), with a range of 5,000 km and warheads capable of hitting multiple targets.
It is important to remember that Russia's invasion was closely tied to the precise and deliberate political will of the United States and Europe: to radically transform Ukraine into Europe's most powerful military force and ensure its permanent incorporation into NATO.
Precisely for this reason, the war officially began in February 2014, escalating dramatically and violently in February 2022. But Russia now appears to have achieved its intended objective.
There will be no NATO enlargement to include Ukraine, even though the British and EU NATO members say otherwise. This is the reality, and therefore, in this sense, Russia has achieved its primary war objective.
But the war could have been avoided in December 2021 if President Biden had told President Putin that NATO would not expand. It would have ended in April 2022, when Ukraine accepted neutrality, but the United States and the United Kingdom forced Zelensky not to sign the peace agreement. That was four years ago. It seems that President Trump has finally understood that NATO should not proceed with further expansion.
However, Europeans have become even more delusional.
The German Chancellor is currently responsible for preventing the outbreak of a full-scale European war. Germany, which had promised the Soviet Union and Russia in 1990 that NATO would not expand, betrayed its promise by passively accepting the CIA-led coup in Maidan Square on February 22, 2014. In February 2015, Germany declared it would be the guarantor of a peace agreement (Minsk 2) that Chancellor Merkel and French President Hollande negotiated with the Ukrainians, but failed to force Ukraine to comply with the agreement.
Germany and Russia
Germany has repeatedly acted deceitfully to drag the whole of Europe into this difficult situation. Germany is the largest and most powerful country in the European Union. It bears a historic responsibility; it has made clear commitments that it has not kept.
The crucial moment has come for Chancellor Mertz to contact President Putin directly and for them to begin serious negotiations together. This is the only concrete way out of this disaster. It is hoped that Mertz is aware of the commitments made by his predecessors and of the historic role Germany has played.
Western governments often lie and only know the official narrative, not the truth.
It is important to emphasize that the commitment that NATO would not expand eastward was a formal and solemn commitment made to Soviet President Michel Gorbachev during crucial negotiations (the 2+4 Agreement) aimed at enabling German reunification.
All this is constantly denied by the liars in Washington and Berlin, but it's true, and numerous documents prove that the real bargaining chip for German reunification was: "No NATO expansion to the East."
All this can be verified in the National Security Archives maintained and made available by George Washington University. Our governments lie, then drag us into these disasters, and they don't worry about saving face.
The Big Lie of European Governments
NATO did not propose supporting Ukraine to resist the Russian attack. NATO proposed defeating Russia on the battlefield, and the relevant written documentation exists despite disinformation and manipulation of public opinion in Western democracies. NATO should therefore have armed Ukraine to defeat Russia on the battlefield and force it to surrender unconditionally. Therefore, no dialogue with Russia and an all-out war, as Stoltenberg and Biden advocated. The slogan was, literally, "We must support Ukraine for as long as necessary, without diplomacy, until final victory."
Considerations
For every step forward, Ukraine has taken two steps back, because this is the pattern of the dynamics of the Ukrainian war. The greater Ukraine's firepower against Russia, the greater Russia's firepower against Ukraine, and ultimately Ukraine will be destroyed. Ukraine is resisting, but it is already a finished country in the sense that it will never be the Ukraine of the past and will no longer have a dignified future. Ukraine has been almost entirely deprived of its access to the sea. All that remains today is Odessa. A difficult economic future, having lost all access to the sea except for Odessa. Ukraine has also already lost all of its richest and most strategic regions: Donbas, not entirely (but it will eventually lose it all), Kherson, and Zaporizhia.
Ukraine has received a loan from the European Union of €106 billion over two years. But this money does not cover Ukraine's entire needs because a third of these needs remain unmet. This means that if the European Union were to suspend this aid at any point, Ukraine would collapse.
Conclusion
The US arms industry needed an enemy to make billions in profits (the top five arms producers in the world are American) and so the war in Ukraine was triggered by NATO expansion combined with Russian provocation. A proxy war between the United States and Russia aimed at weakening and destabilizing Russia to allow the United States to turn later on enemy number one: China.
German militarism is resurfacing: the Nord Stream gas pipeline explosion (caused by Ukraine) was downplayed by Germany because it needed Russia to remain "the bad guy" to justify remilitarization.
The Baltics, for many reasons, psychological and geographical, are, and they are driving European policy right now to a shocking extent. Well, the EU picked Kallas as the foreign policy chief when the EU was following the line that they were boycotting diplomacy and weapons were the path to peace. So if you don't want any diplomacy at all, she could be a good choice.
And unfortunately, the major powers in Europe, especially Germany and France, don't put on the brakes.
We have, in the person of Chancellor Mertz, the most irresponsible leader of Germany in decades, actually. He is an outright Warmonger.
What is at stake in the Ukraine war has a lot to do with Russia's security vis-a-vis the United States. That isn't admitted or understood or acknowledged at all. Everything became interpreted as Russian evil, as Russian aggression, as unprovoked war and massacre by the Russians, all of it false in its pseudo-history,
Tragically, the Russophobia is a terrible self-harm of Europe. By being so Russophobic, Europe has hurt itself many, many times in history. It's very harmful, it just brings Europe closer to disastrous conflict by absolutely, deliberately evading history and not attempting any honest assessment.
But people do know, at least there are people who should remember and can remember. And again, primary responsibility for all of this is on Chancellor Mertz because Germany has the most responsibility and the most accountability here.
But the overall responsibility is on Europe. It has not shown the slightest interest, the slightest capacity to engage in any kind of diplomacy except to whine when the US and Russia speak. “Why aren't we there?” As if a union of 450 million people can't get its act together to find someone to speak with the counterpart in Russia. Poor Europe! A poor player that struts and frets his hour upon the stage and then is heard no more! His script is full of sound and fury: signifying nothing!
